Story of Prabha Dhalai

Prabaha Dhalai was formed 14th August 1999 and It was registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 11th September–2000. During its eighteen years of development services, Prabaha Dhalai has been experienced with ups and downs and still active in responding towards extending its best services for the development of the poor, needy, and deprived people. Initiatives for their total development, of the poor, needy deprived people of our operational area.

Presently Prabaha Dhalai is extending its development services for environment, science & technology capacity building, livelihoods education, health, etc.

With cluster approaches. The society has now taken initiatives to help the people for total empowerment mainly with their economic and social up-liftmen. We have also taken initiatives to introduce community-based development initiatives for the introduction of specific and organized development interventions towards confirming sustainable development.

Prabaha Dhalai has also tried its best to adapt and extend professional development services for the up-liftmen of the poor, needy and deprived people mainly with the women folk by Organizing them in a more popular development concept of Self- Help-Groups (SHGs) Joint liability group (JLG) However, the Society will also continue its other existing Programmes on health mainly with TI Project with T.S.A.C.S, Environment with T.S.P.C.B. CHILDLINE Project with CHILDLINE Foundation, Skill development training with the ministry of human resource, Yoga camp with the ministry of AUSH Education with Literacy Mission and other programs for total empowerment of the poor, needy & deprived people.

NGO Prabaha Dhalai continues to work with volunteers and social workers driven by our core value `SEWA`. As you will see our programs require empathy and proactive reaching out to the poor and needy.

We are fortunate to have donors who have given us their support. It is a matter of honor for us that most of our funding comes from individual donors and government and non-government agencies. Thank you very much for reposting your trust in us. We will strive to be transparent and accountable.

To materialize the flowing objects, the “PRABAHA DHALAI” has been rendering its welfare services:-

  • To create a movement against the ill superstitions and to develop a healthy cultural atmosphere.
  • To raise the sinking cultural heritage of different tribes in modern shape at all levels
  • To organize a scientific movement against various superstitions, blind religious support, communalism, harmful, Drug, Abuse & other social immorality
  • To fight for the protection of human rights of all sections of people of the society.
  • To take effective steps for incensement of financial viability of the women living below the poverty line & to fight for the protection of their rights
  • To fight against pollution of the environment and to organize a movement for the protection of public interest.

Strategies

Prabaha Dhalai works based on different methods to make the aims and objective successful:

  • Introduce awareness generation for organizing the poor deprived and marginalized people for their sustainable development.
  • Organize intervention on health, education, environment, and livelihood development sustainably.
  • Introduce promotional efforts for the community–based development initiative towards capacity building of the community.
  • Building the capacities of the poor, deprived, and marginalized people for promotion of Savings/Credit, Leadership, accounts, etc. for better livelihoods.
  • Organize planned intervention for up-gradation of both individual & group’s income generation skills for the adoption of the sustainable economic venture.
